ALEJANDRO OSCAR FINOCCHIARO
Born August 27, 1967 in San Justo, Alejandro Finocchiaro, an argentine lawyer, is the Minister of Education of Argentina. He previously served as the General Director of Culture and Education of the Province of Buenos Aires and Undersecretary of Educational Policies and Teaching Careers in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. He is a specialist in Educational Management with a Master’s degree in Education from the University of San Andrés and a PhD in History from the University of Salvador. He is a professor at the University of Buenos Aires and at the National University of La Matanza, where he was Dean of Law and Political Science from 2004-2011. He is the author of the books “UBA. c /National state: A study on university autonomy” and “The reformist myth,” articles on international politics, education, history, and political philosophy in specialized publications, newspapers and magazines of national scope, and producer of the documentary “Mujeres de la Shoá”, jointly produced by the Shoá Museum of Argentina and UNLAM. Alejandro Finocchiaro is an ambassador and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Argentina within the Working Group on International Cooperation for Education, Remembrance and Holocaust Research (IHRA).
